OV103.9 That 70's Station

OV103.9 Radio broadcasts out of Kelowna, BC, to the entire Okanagan Valley. As radio stations often go through a re-brand when the format changes, OV103.9 was looking to blend the strong/simple foundations of a station brand, with a very specific target audience criteria and identity.

Designs

The OV103.9 logo suite features a primary logo, crafted to capture the essence of the station, complemented by a horizontal variant designed for increased flexibility and consistency across diverse media platforms and device screens. The Okanagan, BC radio station wanted to connect to its origins in its rebrand, which was a long-standing news station featuring "OV" (Okanagan Valley). Strategically, the brand was being positioned towards an older demographic identified as uniquely trendy and current. While being an "oldie" or "hits" format, we intentionally avoided overt 1970s design trends, so as not to alienate the primary audience who might not want to be stereotyped as such.
